The Best Safelists for April 2013

Hello and welcome to April!

I know. I’m late. I had been under the weather for the past few days but now I am back and ready to share my monthly safelist and viral list builder stats to show which mailers are currently bringing me the best results.

But first, the news…

Wait, there is no news! After all of the big launches in February it seems that March was a pretty quiet month.  I guess once in awhile it’s nice to simply focus on the sites we have now instead of constantly pushing the next big launch.

So let’s get to the stats.

Here’s how it works. Every day I submit my ads to 40+ safelists and viral list builders (or to as many as I can submit to on any given day). I am promoting a series of splash pages that promote my own Mister Safelist website.  Note, you won’t see Mister Safelist in the stats below… but I hear it’s still worth joining.  I do have upgraded memberships at most of the safelists and viral list builders that I use which usually allows me to send my ads to more people and more often.  I also spend time every day reading emails to earn enough credits to send my ads to the maximum number of people.  Your results may vary.

Adchiever 3842 23.00% 26 0.68%
List Nerds 3596 37.00% 23 0.64%

List Adventure 1181 21.00% 5 0.42%
European Safelist 1180 16.00% 5 0.42%

Total sign-ups (including those not shown here): 236

Despite the massive launch of List Nerds somehow Adchiever manages to hang on to the #1 spot.  Go Darren!  Puffin Mailer was the other big launch from February and manages to hold it’s own quite nicely as well.

Keep in mind that these stats are only provided to show what is currently working best for me and are the result of my own marketing efforts.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to find out what works best for you is to track your own results.  You can get the same link tracker that I use by visiting trck.me.

The Best Safelists for March 2013

It’s March!

It’s been a little bit quiet in the safelist/vlb community over the last few months but not any more.  There were quite a few big launches last month that promise to bring in a lot of new members for us to advertise to.

Clearly the biggest launch last month was List Nerds from the guys at TimTech.  If you don’t know who TimTech is you’ve probably never surfed a traffic exchange.  These guys are arguably the leaders of the TE industry and are responsible for sites like trck.me, AdKreator, Click Track Profit, I Love Hits, StartXchange, and Sweeva (to name a few).  After years of telling them how good safelists and viral list builders are they have finally taken the plunge by launching their own viral list builder.  It’s awesome!  List Nerds was built from the ground up and includes a lot of new features not seen in any other mailers.  The best part about List Nerds is that it’s not a “launch it and forget it” site.  TimTech has the resources to bring in thousands of new members and promises to be active for many years to come.  If you haven’t done it yet definitely join List Nerds and start building your downline now.

Some of the other big launches last month were Puffin Mailer from Dan Moses (4x4Hits), 100PercentMailer from Matthew Graves (TopTierMailer), and Fugitive Traffic Mailer from Jeff Parker (Traffic Fugitive).  All of these mailers are presented by very experienced owners and offer unique twists to make them stand out.  They are all worth joining if for any other reason than to take advantage of all of their recent activity.

Enough about those guys.  Let’s get to my stats…

Here’s how it works.  I am active in 40+ safelists and viral list builders.  I send my ads every day (or as often as they will let me) which promote my own Mister Safelist splash pages.  I am upgraded in most of these sites and spend time every day reading enough emails which allow me to send my ads to the most number of people.  Your results my vary.

Fugative Traffic Mailer 1038 23.00% 4 0.39%
List Outbreak 736 20.00% 4 0.54%

Total February sign-ups (including those not listed here): 154

Mister Safelist is not included here because it’s my own site and it wouldn’t make sense for me to promote it there.

List Nerds didn’t make the cut because it just launched a few days ago.  When you consider that the 1 email I sent this week got me 3 new sign-ups it’s safe to say that List Nerds should be near the top of the list next month.

Remember this list is the result of my own marketing efforts and is provided only to show what is currently working best for me.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to find out which sites work best for you is to track your own results.  You can get the same link tracker that I use from trck.me.

The Best Safelists for September 2012

Is it September already?

August really seemed to fly by.  Now it’s time to get busy and see what safelists and viral list builders have been giving me the best results lately.

The big news from last month was the re-launch of Darren Olander‘s viral list builder and advertising tool Viral Nugget.  I don’t have a full month of stats to share yet but so far the results have been very good.  Darren is well known for creating powerful advertising sites and it looks like Viral Nugget will be no exception.

I’ve been dropping mailers left and right that use the LFMVM script.  The thrill is gone!  A month of clicking every day for 1 or 2 sign-ups just isn’t worth my time.  The major exception is Max Mailer Pro from William Brant.  William did some major revisions to the standard script and the results speak for themselves.  This should be a lesson for anyone thinking about launching a cookie cutter website to spend some time and money to make you site as good as it can be.

The final thing I want to say before getting to the stats is this… Bweeble!  You’ll understand why in a minute.

If this is your first time here this is how my safelist stats work.  Every day I submit ads promoting a series of lead capture pages for my ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics.  I currently submit to 35-40 different safelists and viral list builders.  I track my ads using TE Toolbox and share the top 15 sites that brought me the most subscribers here on my blog.  I am upgraded in most of these safelists and viral list builders which often gives me the ability to send more ads to more people.  These stats are meant to serve as a guide to show what is currently working best for me.  Your results may vary.

Here we go…

Hits Unique Signups Ratio
Bweeble 5734 70.00% 52 0.91%
Max Mailer Pro 4351 41.00% 22 0.51%
The Lead Magnet 1114 46.00% 15 1.35%

List Outbreak 904 53.00% 15 1.66%
Viral Nugget 1022 64.00% 14 1.37%

Viral List Builder Plus 2363 46.00% 12 0.51%
Instant List Empire 477 47.00% 10 2.10%
EZ Profit List 487 53.00% 10 2.05%
List Adventure 1376 48.00% 9 0.65%
TopTierMailer 1598 59.00% 9 0.56%
State of the Art Mailer 2911 62.00% 8 0.27%
Adchiever 3531 61.00% 8 0.23%
Elite Safelist 2553 40.00% 7 0.27%

Total new sign-ups from all safelists and viral list builders (including those not listed here): 277

So much for the “summer slow down” theory.

Seriously… Bweeble!  I don’t know what else I can say here.  52 new subscribers in one month is just ridiculous for something I have been promoting for so long.  If you are not taking advantage of Bweeble yet you are missing out on some great traffic.   If you can afford the yearly upgrade grab it!  Offers like this don’t come around very often.

Everything else looks to be in line.  Max Mailer Pro is clearly the best of the new LFMVM sites.  The Lead Magnet seems to go up and down for me every month but is consistently one of the top ranked mailers.  List Bonus is owned by the same guys who created Bweeble so no surprise to see it is still bringing in tons of sign-ups too.

That should do it for this month.  Hopefully I will have a new launch to announce very soon.  As always keep in mind that the stats above are the results of my own marketing efforts.  What works best for you might be something entirely different.  The only way to know for sure is to track your own results.  You can get the same link tracker that I use for free at TE Toolbox.

The Best Safelists for June 2012

It’s June!

It seems that many people think that this is the time of year business slows down.  Ask anyone who has been in this business for a few years and you will know that this is the best time to really ramp up your advertising while your competition is lounging on the beach.

I think the biggest news this month in the safelist and VLB world is the release of the new LFMVM script for running viral list builder sites.  I’m using the original LFM script to run my ebook websites.  That script was later developed into one of the most popular traffic exchange scripts called LFMTE.  The new LFMVM script is very similar to LFMTE but works as a viral mailer.  Does this mean that there are going to be a whole slew of new viral list builders using the LFMVM script launching in the next few months?

Yes.

The first new LFMVM site rolled out about two weeks ago from Da Riley called 1 Modern Mailer.  It offers some unique features including earning a percentage of your credits back from any unopened emails.  Two more LFMVM sites quickly followed with Viral IM List from Amanda McEwan and Max Mailer Pro from William Brant.   No stats to share yet but hopefully this will be the first of many great new mailers to come.

Ad Master Safelist is now owned by Mark McCulloch.  I’ve seen this site around for awhile but never joined.  Now that Mark is in charge I decided to check it out a few days ago.  The design is nice but so far I haven’t had a chance to test it out much yet.  I will say that if you do join plan to spend a little money.  Ad Master Safelist has one of the best one-time-offers I have seen in a long time.  Of course you can still join for free but Mark has put together a crazy offer that will make almost anybody who uses safelists want to buy an upgrade.  I’m looking forward to seeing what Mark does to the site.

I joined a few new safelists at the beginning of last month.

Most of them sucked and aren’t worth mentioning.

One site that surprised me though was Solo Effects.  I joined this because it was ranked in List Hoopla.  It feels a little too much like a text ad exchange for me but it works just like a safelist.  So far so good.  You can check out my results in the stats below.

Speaking of stats…

You probably already know how this works.  Every day I am  using 30-40 safelists and viral list builders to send out ads for my free ebook Safelist Marketing Tactics.  I am promoting a lead capture page and I use a free link tracker to see how often my emails are read as well as how many new subscribers I receive to my list.  Every month I dig out my stats to see which safelists and viral list builders are producing the best results and which ones are wasting my time.  I then share those stats here on my blog.

I always like to point out that I do have upgraded memberships at most of these sites which often gives me the ability to send my ads more often than free members.  My ads are also very targeted to other safelist members which does help to increase my response rate.  Your results my vary.

Ok, enough of that.  Here’s the stats…

  Hits Unique Signups Ratio
List Bonus 2005 69.00% 14 0.70%
TopTierMailer 2159 66.00% 13 0.60%
Your EZ List 1025 56.00% 12 1.17%
Viral List Builder Plus 1587 49.00% 11 0.69%
List Adventure 1307 51.00% 10 0.77%
Quick List Profits 337 55.00% 9 2.67%
List Surfing 2493 78.00% 8 0.32%
Genie Mailer 778 42.00% 7 0.90%
Solo Effects 1771 47.00% 7 0.40%
Adchiever 2984 67.00% 6 0.20%
Email-Hog 1263 71.00% 6 0.48%
EZ Profit List 472 53.00% 6 1.27%
List Outbreak 1000 58.00% 6 0.60%
Global Safelist 930 41.00% 5 0.54%
State of the Art Mailer 2494 71.00% 4 0.16%

It was really a fight to the finish between List Bonus and the new TopTierMailer.  Of course Your EZ List and Viral List Builder Plus were not far behind.

Next month is going to be a condensed listing as I will finally be taking some time off to visit my family.  That means setting “vacation” mode for all my lists until I get back.  I expect there will be even more  new LFMVM sites out by then and it will be interesting to see how well those perform.

Before I go I always like to remind people that these stats are the result of my own personal marketing efforts.  I post these stats on my blog every month to show which sites are currently working best for me.  I provide this as a jumping off point for people who are looking for new safelists and viral list builders to try.  What works best for you might be something entirely different than what I have here but you will never know unless you are tracking your ads.  You can get the same free link tracker that I use from TE Toolbox.

Hoopla Launches New List Ranking Service

Traffic Hoopla has been one of the largest and more successful ranking services and downline builders for the traffic exchange and safelist industry since 2002.  That’s a really long time!

I just got a chance to check out their latest creation called List Hoopla which is dedicated entirely to safelists and viral list builders.

You can check it out here:
http://listhoopla.com/r.cgi/260

As you probably know I post my own safelist rankings here on my blog every month.

What is the difference between List Hoopla ranking and my own?

According to the Hoopla website:

“Overall Rankings are determined by a composite score from raw hits, primary conversion rate, secondary conversion rate, new visitors, bounce rate, unique hits, unique percentage, and commissions paid.”

While I just rank by the number of sign-ups I received.

Which is better?  Well, it doesn’t really matter.  The purpose is to find new advertising sources that you are not already using and then track them to find out which ones work best for you.  I even spotted a few new mailers on the List Hoopla site where I was not already a member.  I just joined them and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of results I get next month.

List Hoopla is also a downline builder which is something I don’t offer (yet).  So if you join make sure you fill in your referral IDs so can start building your downlines in the top ranked List Hoopla sites.
